Joker Native by Michael Connelly
"Joker Seven" by David A. Formerly has lots of similarities to its predecessor"A Clockwork Orange", yet another dark comedy from the master crime novelist Tom Clancy. Like the original publication, this novel presents a complicated and intricate plot which can be told in 2 parallel and connected sessions. This book has been widely praised by critics and has sold more copies than some of Before previous novel.
The story centers on a newly-trained private detective who has to contend with personal conflicts when he's referred to as the scene of a brutal sexual assault. The victim is a attractive young lady who works as a call girl. Her beauty is tapped by the serial killer who decides to kill her in order to fulfill a dark ritual that he believes will give him supreme power and liberty. This evil man also intends to steal the identity of the upcoming infant within her life. He forces the alluring young woman to meet him in a secluded area and ambushes and kills her in cold blood.
Following the incident, the detective is assigned to the case by his superior, Detective Inspector Harry Sloane. Sloane suspects the serial killer might have a link to other sufferers and extends to New York City to interrogate the alleged culprit. During the course of their analysis, Sloane becomes suspicious of their motives of the serial killer along with his associates. He deduces that the girl Sloane is scheduled to meet is actually the killer future spouse, and he gets her to convince her to leave the town to give birth to the child that Sloane is planning to rescue.
The next half of this book concentrates on the mystery behind the birth of the child. It shows the grisly method by which the infant is abandoned at the maintenance of a family in rural Arkansas. His biological father is missing, and he is believed to have been murdered by the serial killer. Throughout sleuthing and interviewing individuals, clues are found that connect the killer to a different crime he had been involved , and he is finally brought to justice. This is the second half of this story that you get when you buy Joker Seven.
During this thrilling book, there are various clues which are solved which become crucial to solving this instance. One such clue includes the discovery of an unidentified man who had been seen near the scene of this crime. This guy is linked to the offender by a codex that was shot during the attack, leading the group to think he might learn more about the connection between the serial killer and this sufferer. Another important clue is the discovery of a briefcase with advice on the best way best to create a different sort of bomb. The data has been included in a credit card belonging to the defendant.
When the book closed with an investigation finish, there was still one more mystery to address. Police Detective Sloane had to monitor the guy who'd given the credit card into the caller. He was able to track down him, but regrettably, the person he was looking for turned out to be the prime defendant himself. The graphic description of these offenses perpetrated convinced Sloane that he needs to trust Harry's gut instinct concerning the circumstance, and he requested him to accompany him to Harry's office to consult with Harry regarding the circumstance.
Whenever I finished reading this novel, I really felt sorry for Harry since he really felt he was railroaded inside this publication. He felt as the detectives trying to utilize sleuthing techniques and secrets to get to the bottom of the offense. Additionally, I felt sorry for Nancy. She did everything she was supposed to perform. Naturally, we mustn't forget that the killer himself. He had been so cold heartedly grinning we forgot just how badly he murdered his victims.
I recommend this book to people who love mystery and suspense. It's not merely a terrific read; it also teaches you invaluable lessons about human character, bias, and the perils of selfishness. In addition, this storyline is very well composed. There were moments that I almost wanted to cry, but then I realized this was only made worse by the fact that the serial killer was a repeat offender. Still, this story about a killer using a sadistic side along with a desire for revenge was just way too genuine to pass up.
